Things feel a whole lot lighter!

Last summer and still growing!
After two and a half years of growing out my locks, and contemplating many different hairstyles, I finally worked up the courage to cut my hair. I am almost 5'0 and my hair was passed my belt. It was getting a little ridiculous and I felt a little creepy. I was THAT girl...my hair was so long and overwhelming, it began to have a mind of its own and keeping up with it's agenda was not happening.

My new style
Anxiety was the main reason I held back on cutting my hair. Let's just say I do not do well in the chair. I have fears my hair will be butchered and I'll come out with a bowl cut or something worse...Eeeeek!

The weather in FL has heated up with Spring in the air. I only have a few hair styles: pony tail, bun, and down. VERY BORING! So,  I took a leap of  faith and taa-daa. I have short (shorter) hair! For me this is a significant change and I absolutely love it! I cut more than a foot of hair off but was short over an inch to donate. This was disappointing but I am still thrilled with my dooo. Now it's time to upload many YouTube videos and begin learning how to style it!

2013 McGuire's 5K Run

It's that time again with the kick-off to the St. Patrick's Day festivities. A famous Irish restaurant, McGuire's, located downtown Pensacola, FL off Gregory Street throws an annual 5K prediction run. Many people from across the country attend with the funniest and fanciest costumes imagined. This year Danny and I attended together again and raced.

Oh yes!
Mind you, I am no runner but this even is brilliant. Food and special leprechaun green booze is waiting in the end. I don't know about you, but this is most definitely motivation for making good time. Nearly 16,000 runners attended so it was fight to the finish.

We met up with some other friends from town and got our party on. Of course, we had company and it was time move out...party poopers.

From there, we attended a neighboring local bar where we sang some songs, danced a few jigs and of course, drank some more booze.

The experience is like no other and I highly recommend all to come out and have some fun, check it out!
